Vista’s GADGETS renamed Tiles
made dull, OVERSIZED, with ugly colors

..pushed down your throat ! !

These one color Tiles look DULL with those ugly colors
and those that update constantly, will drive you nuts after a while!

Those Vista gadgets failed..
Can you see any of them on any Win7 PCs today? I don’t think so..
Windows 8 will fail also..

Microsoft STRIPPED AERO GLASS VISUAL STYLE from Windows 8..
hired a bunch of two year-old kids
that took the rectangular tool in Windows PAINT
and created Windows 8 METRO UI..

WOAA ! !

The smoothly elegant, 3D, rounded glass windows of Aero Glass Visual Style
with light effects, have been replaced by Tiles that are two-dimensional,
dull with hard, sharp corners and no drop shadows to smooth out looks,
create depth and indicate which window is focused..

This cartoony rectangular, flat, bland, boring,
dull, big yawn, dry, monotonous, stale, blah,
uninteresting, unimaginative, uninspiring
waste of desktop space first called METRO UI..

That’s LOOKS like it's still in >> SAFE MODE <<
..will never.. EVER.. be more successful than VISTA..

taking over their entire screen area

How about organizing Tiles in folders?
Sorry.. creating folders is forbidden in Metro ! ! ! !

My Windows 7 can have around 200 App-Program Shortcuts on Desktop
no need for scrolling.

As you cannot create folders in Metro [Start] screen
and insert inside them any number of tiles you want..
The more apps or programs you install..
the more the [start] screen get's crowded..
and EVEN MORE HORIZONTAL SCROLLING you will have to do
to find a Tile (app or program)..

Metro UI is SO RESTRICTIVE.. IT’S LIKE A BRICK ! ! ! !
(FORCED to buy Laptop with windows 8 as there were no low priced windows 7 Laptops..)

CANNOT change Start Screen’s scrolling to vertical.. mouse scroll wheels are not horizontal ! !
CANNOT move tiles where YOU WANT THEM.. they just keep JUMPING UPWARDS.. >> : ^ (
CANNOT change a Tile’s image OR EVEN IT’S COLOR..
CANNOT change a Tile's refresh rate of 3 seconds.. Tile constant rotation of pics is.. IRRITATING..
CANNOT rename a Tile.. actually you may change ALMOST nothing of a Tile’s attributes..
CANNOT disable advertising in Metro Apps ! ! ! !
CANNOT recognize what some Metro Tiles do, if there is a photo on them..

CANNOT see WHAT TIME IS IT at a glance in Metro.. must swipe right up corner then streight down.. What is Microsoft THINKING ! ! ! !
CANNOT organize [start] & [all apps] by moving tiles inside folders so you have a jungle MESS of tiles.. the more Apps you install the messier it gets ! ! ! !
CANNOT see running Metro Apps on Desktop taskbar..
CANNOT see running Desktop apps on Metro.. multitasking is a pain..
CANNOT find [Shutdown] to turn off computer the obvious way.. must click SETTINGS ? ! ? ! Microsoft is bent on confusing new users..

Start Screen’s Metro Internet Explorer Favorites list is an endless horizontal line of CRIPPLED TILES of favorites
[if you are like me having more than 4'000 favorites.. that's what you're going to get]

Worse, the favorites list is COMPLETELY CRIPPLED WITH NO TOOLS TO ORGANIZE IT.

CANNOT change homepage in Screen’s I. Explorer.. NOPE.. stuck with the same homepage FOREVER ! !
CANNOT organize the favorites list alphabetically, chronologically etc..
CANNOT adjust the size of the tiles of the favorites list so if you have tons of them like me, get ready for tons of clicking . .
CANNOT move a favorite tile left or right.. Just try to move a favorite, left or right in a favorites list.. IMPOSSIBLE ! ! ! !
CANNOT force new favorites to be added alphabetically.. new favorites ALWAYS appear AT THE VERY END of a list
so if you add a new favorite in a LONG list, get ready for lots of clicks to find it and since new favorites are added chronologically
get ready for a MESS of alphabetically sorted old favorites MIXED together with new chronologically sorted favorites . . . .

CANNOT remain 100% in Desktop mode all the time as IT’S CRIPPLED IN FAVOR of Metro..
CANNOT find other programs without going back to irritating Start Screen.. The only way is by opening folders in Windows Explorer.. and searching..
CANNOT have the Windows 7 Ease of Use.. the START MENU is GONE ! ! ! !
CANNOT find history of recently used files and programs.. BRING BACK THE START MENU A.S.A.P. ! ! ! !
CANNOT create shortcuts on Desktop by draging and dropping from Metro Start Screen to the Desktop.. in fact..
CANNOT create shortcuts on Desktop in ANY SIMPLE WAY at all ! !
In Windows 7? DEAD SIMPLE ! ! Just drag the App from the Start Menu onto the Desktop !
Or Rightdrag the App to the Desktop for more options.
CANNOT change Advanced appearance settings like sizes of scrollbars.. Don't like THIN scrollbars? Like them fat and round? Sorry.. You are STUCK with THIN . .
CANNOT disable the Metro UI if you don’t like it.. You are stuck with Metro..

this is the solution to
regain sales:

EXTERMINATE METRO from ALL Laptops and Desktops,
bring back the Start Menu and the AERO glass visual style.

[A permanent Metro Apps menu shortcut inside Start Menu below All Programs will suffice
and Metro Apps may run on the Desktop just like every other Windows program]

Install Metro ONLY ON TABLETS AND PHONES
but give Metro the AERO glass visual style facelift
and make it similar and more attractive than iOS.

ALL devices may have the same Windows code
but Laptops / Desktops should have a different UI's
than Tablets / Cell Phones.
[This is where Microsoft should copy Apple
not in copying iOS launcher to the Windows Desktop]

Who in their right mind will buy an ugly car?

Those who buy Laptops with ugly Metro UI
they buy them only because they are forced to.

Also.. the notion of touch on the PC
as a universal input mode is the height of insanity.

"We've done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn't work. Touch surfaces don't want to be vertical".
